Our Meet the Makers Holiday Marketplace has come and gone and it was such a great event featuring local makers and their crafts. With handcrafted products and meaningful gifts in every corner of the store, it made for the perfect way to kick off the holidays.

One maker in particular who we’re so glad could join us for our holiday marketplace is Carter & Co. Their handmade kiln-fired tableware is crafted and glazed in hand-forged kilns on a historic ranch above Napa Valley. Every piece is the result of incredibly detailed craftsmanship, with a mix of clay formulated to match the tone of California’s mountains. When fired, it demonstrates strength and durability, with a depth of character that gives individuality to every single piece. The result is a beautifully matte finished tableware that showcases both food and the beauty of design: simple, modern yet classic, and able to transform any style tabletop into a work of art.

Locally made, handcrafted, and endlessly unique, it’s no surprise that Carter & Co is infinitely loved by all of us here at Chateau—so much so that you can find plenty of Carter & Co pieces dressing our tables at the Cornerstone shop. When we get ready to set the Christmas table, this tableware will be our go-to!
