Living a simple and purposeful life includes a passion for sustainability and preservation. Our farm was born out of this passion, along with a thirst for healthy living, a sense of community and a desire to give back.
Located in Sonoma, we're inspired by the idea of growing as much as we can in our own back yard so we can eat according to the seasons and provide locally grown produce to our favorite restaurants and purveyors. We also preserve as much of the produce as we can to supply our pantry at home and Chateau Sonoma throughout the year. Based on the season, we grow cherry tomatoes for our Moroccan Tomato Jam, plums trees supply us with fruit for our Plum/Elderflower jam and the honey provided by our bees is harvested annually from the hives and jarred up for your enjoyment. During the peak season, the farm supplies Chateau Sonoma with vibrant greens, flowers and eggs. We will keep you posted with what is available each week!
We will continue to add products to our pantry that are inspired by our love of France including olive oil, specialty salts, fig vinegar and herbs de Provence.
THE Pantry at Chateau Sonoma
In order to enjoy the fruits of our labor all year long, we developed a line of pantry items to preserve fruit from our harvest. The Moroccan tomato jam, with exotic spices, has become our number one seller and there is alway a wait list when it sells out year after year.
This year we tried a new jam that we could not be more excited about. The plums were plentiful and we formulated a plum/elderflower jam that will certainly be a crowd pleaser.
We currently have wildflower honey in the shop and we packaged up favorite fleur de sel in weck jars that you can use time and time again.
